Cabinet Terminology

What is a Roll-out Tray?

Roll-out TrayRoll-out trays are small shelves that slide out of the cabinet for easy access to the items that are being stored. Roll-out trays are frequently used for storing pots, pans and pantry items.

Roll-out trays are small shelves located inside cabinets that can be rolled out to reach items. They are usually mounted on drawer glides that allow them to move easily. The glides may have full stops on them so that the shelves can be fully extended without falling out of the cabinet. Roll-out trays are extremely useful in kitchen cabinets. A roll-out tray allows the homeowner to view items located in the back of the shelf, and it makes it easy to pull out large pots, pans and small appliances. Roll-out trays can be custom ordered to match the wood and finish of the rest of the cabinets in the kitchen. However, they may also be preassembled and installed at any time.
