Nathan Everson

We’d like to apologize for the delay on this announcement — we had to wait for confirmation before we were able to officially announce our winner this year. Without further ado, the winner of the 2017 Kitchen Cabinet Kings Entrepreneur Scholarship is Nathan Everson from Arizona State University.

The Kitchen Cabinet Kings Entrepreneur Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded to one active college student who is committed to entrepreneurship. This year’s essay topic was, “What areas or industries provide the greatest opportunities for small business owners to innovate and succeed?”

Nathan’s chose the energy sector. Here’s a snippet of what he had to say:

The future fast approaches. With rising temperatures, mass consumption, and a general attitude of apathy for the future of fossil fuels, the world?s biggest problem is solving our dependency on oil. It is because of this need that the energy sector exudes the most opportunities for small businesses to innovate. This is in part due to the efforts of large energy companies both indirectly and directly, and because of individual people who recognize the problem and seek to do something about it.

Kitchen Cabinet Kings was founded by two entrepreneurs with a dream to disrupt the cabinet industry and today we’re fortunate to have thousands of satisfied customers throughout the country. We wanted to give back to fellow entrepreneurs and created a scholarship program to help young entrepreneurs combat the rising costs of tuition. This year, we are honored to award the 2017 Kitchen Cabinet Kings Entrepreneur Scholarship to Nathan.

Thank you to everyone who applied for this year’s scholarship.
